Problem

You are working remotely at home, or are otherwise unable to personally hand-in work to your Teacher for assessment. You need an electronic way to summit your work.

Solution

  • You can use the  Microsoft Lens App on your phone to take pictures of your school work, and then convert your work to a Word, PowerPoint or PDF file. This file can then be saved from your phone directly to OneNote or OneDrive for your teacher to mark.

Steps

  • Install Microsoft Lens on your phone. Go to Play Store (for Androids) or App Store (for Apples).

  • Search for Microsoft Lens App and then install the Application.

  • Open Microsoft Lens and sign-in with your school email address (i.e. similar to ABC1234@kambryacollege.com).
  • Start taking pictures. Once the picture is taken, you can drag the dots to the boundaries of the document you want to upload. Sometimes it will pick-up something outside what you want to upload, you can easily crop this out.
  • If you want to upload several pages in one upload, select Add new and repeat the process. Then click Done when ready to upload.

  • Select where you want to upload/export it (e.g. OneNote). Ask you teacher if you are unsure where to upload your file.

  • Rename your file so that your teacher will be able to find it. For example, rename Booklet cover page to SAC 1 Cells assignment.

  • Select the OneNote notebook where you want to upload. For example, your teacher may ask you to upload to the 2020 Year 11 Biology notebook. Select the section of OneNote where you want to upload. Ask your Teacher if you are not sure where to upload.
