Problem

Your Teacher has asked you to go to your Class in Microsoft Teams. You need to know how to access Teams and then find the right Class. The teacher may have asked you to join an online meeting, use the Chat function, download a file, or use the Class Notebook in there.


Solution

  • You can access all your Classes in Microsoft Teams by logging into your Microsoft Office 365.


Students can to make use of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of Applications to communicate with their Teacher and Classmates and to complete tasks set by your teacher. Included in the Microsoft Office 365 suite is the Microsoft Teams Application. Microsoft Teams is a very powerful Application that allows teachers and students to communicate and work together is a single place.

Steps

  • Students access the suite by going to the Kambrya webpage and clicking on the Office 365 Login button in the middle of the screen.
  • Students enter their school username and password when prompted. Note: your username for the Microsoft Office 365 suite is your student ID with @kambryacollege.com on the end. For example, if your student ID was ABC1234, you would enter ABC1234@kambryacollege.com

Your password is the same as your Compass password.

  • You can now click and use the browser version of any Application in the suite. The browser version of each Application is quick to use, but the desktop version of each is more powerful (i.e. you can do more). 



  • To access the desktop version of all the Applications, download and install the Microsoft Office 365 Suite onto your laptop. Click on Install Office in the top-right corner of your screen, and then choosing the top option.

  • Students can access Teams by clicking on its browser version.

  • You can now see all their Teams, most of them will be for your classes. Access a Team by clicking on its tile.

  • There are 3 main parts. Posts is where you and your classmates can chat to your teacher, Files is where the teacher will upload files for you to access, and Class Notebook is where you can access the OneNote Notebook for this class.
