Problem

You want to connect your Laptop to the school's WiFi so that you can access the internet. You need internet access so that you can complete online tasks and activities set by your Teachers.


Solution

You can connect your Laptop to the eduStar wireless network run at Kambrya Secondary College.


Steps


Connecting a Windows Laptop (or device)

To connect a Windows Laptop to WLAN, click on the Wireless icon located in the bottom right of the task bar


Click eduSTAR, then Connect

  • Students enter their username and password when prompted. Note: your username for the eduStar WLAN is your student ID with @kambryacollege.com on the end. For example, if your student ID was ABC1234, you would enter ABC1234@kambryacollege.com. Click OK. 


  • Click Connect when prompted.


Connecting a Apple Mac OS X Laptop (or device)

  • Click on the wireless icon in the top toolbar and select eduSTAR

  • Enter your username and password. Your username for is your student ID with @kambryacollege.com on the end. E.g. ABC1234@kambryacollege.com. 
  • Click Join

  • Click on Show Certificate. This will open another window where you will see the certificate trust change to Always Trust.

  • Enter your computer credentials, then Update Settings
