You are a Staff Member and you know that there is a regularly scheduled Staff Meeting held online using Microsoft Teams. You want to know how to access the meeting invite and join in.
Solution:
- You can find the meeting invite in the Posts tab of Staff of Kambrya College Team.
- You can use the meeting invite to join in.
Microsoft Teams allows Staff Members to meet together in a video conference, where you can see each other and talk to each other using your laptop’s camera, microphone, and speakers.
Steps:
- Open your web-browser and enter the address for the Kambrya webpage: www.kambryacollege.com
- Click the blue Office 365 Login button.
- Enter your username and password when prompted. Note: your username for the Microsoft Office 365 suite is your 3-letter ID with @kambryacollege.com on the end. For example, if your ID was ABC, you would enter ABC@kambryacollege.com. Your password is your Compass password.
- You now access Teams by clicking on its browser version.
- For all-staff meetings click on the Staff of Kambrya College Team.
- A scheduled meeting will appear in under the Posts in the General channel. To join the meeting:
- Click on the General channel
- Click of the Posts in the General channel
- Scroll down and find a post with Pip’s head beside it and with the title Full Staff Meeting. Make sure the Date and Time are correct. When Pip has started the meeting, the Post will change to Meeting Started. You can join the meeting by clicking on Join.
- When you enter the meeting, remember to be Mute your microphone. This helps to reduce excessive noise, which can make it difficult for others to hear properly. Only ever un-mute your microphone when it is your turn to speak.
- Also remember to hang-up when the meeting is finished (red phone symbol).
